Built in 1971, Garden Island Resort is the oldest and largest resort with 30 rooms on the beautiful island of Taveuni. The Morais family , the current owners of Garden Island Resort, has had a close relationship with Fiji and have been regular visitors of the resort over the past 30 years and are able to offer one of the highest level of luxury and service anywhere on the island. Ocean View Suites

Comprising of 15 Ocean View rooms fully refurbished with private balconies and with four of these rooms inter-connecting, it's ideal for families. Each room offers a private space for luxurious comfort and together with Garden Island Resort’s warm hospitality it’ll become your home away from home.

All are equipped with the essential amenities to ensure your utmost comfort and are located right on the water's edge giving you stunning views over the straits and the nearby islands.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and feature either a private patio or balcony. Each room is air-conditioned, and is quipped with:

How to Get There

Taxi: Catching a ride from the Wairiki ferry landing, the fare will cost you about FJ$5 and will take about 5 minutes. If you are heading from Matei Airport, the fare will cost you about $FJ25 and will take you about 20 minutes. Bus: Catching the public bus from Wairiki ferry landing will cost you around FJ$1. If you are catching the bus from Matei airport, it will cost you around FJ$3.50 and take about 30 minutes. However, the bus only runs three times a day, (twice in the morning and once in the afternoon), so ask a local what times the bus runs and returns.
